I was christened into the Methodist Faith and brought up with a belief in Jesus Christ. However, as I walked one day, two missionaries stopped me and it felt as if a hand pressed firmly on my chest and a still small voice whispered, “Michael, stop and listen to what these two messengers have to say.” As they briefly explained the church, I desired to know more. When the missionaries came to my house I explained myself and my beliefs a lot more. The Book of Mormon was then shown to me and my first reaction was, “Oh no, it’s not like me to be taking religion this...

I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on October 25th, 2003.  I chose that day because of my grandfather’s birthday.  He was such a remarkable grandfather and what better way to honor him by being baptized on his birthday.  My conversion seemed to have taken place very fast but in retrospect it took about 20+ years. So I was looking to go to Yellowstone National Park because I love visiting National Parks.  As I research and research, the flights were so expensive but in all my searches for National Parks I kept being drawn to Utah.  As it was Utah...

(Note:  Due to the sensitive  nature of some of the contents of this testimony, it is advised that caution be used before allowing children to read this, if at all) First I suppose a little background information is necessary in order to give you a more complete understanding of the changes that have taken place both in me and for me. My life has mostly been chaos. I began life with a set of parents who were not happy with each other; as a result I was not very well received.  My mother not wanting to be pregnant did all she could to miscarry. That not having been successful, I was born...

I won’t go into specifics, but be it said that my home life was a situation you would not wish on your worst enemy. Mental, physical abuse and torture were a daily occurrence, both as a child as well as in my marriage.  Through that I know God was with me, I know this because I survived it.  Although painful, he kept me grounded, knowing there was someone, some being, some higher power who loved me and treasured me and gave me the tools to make it through. He gave me hope. My first encounter with the LDS Church was in high school. My circle of friends were Mormon; they were my dates...

I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints almost 22 years ago and I have not regretted it a single day! It is truly the Church of Jesus Christ, restored by His prophet Joseph Smith! I testify that we are led by a living prophet today, even President Thomas S. Monson! I am so thankful for the gospel, and for my Savior, Jesus Christ! He lives! I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I am forever thankful for the wonderful family that introduced me to the Church and for everyone else who contributed to my...

I have always been a religious person. I met my husband in the fall of 2007 and got married shortly after onDec 1, 2007. My husband was born into the church but I was not.  Shortly after getting married the missionaries started coming over. After a few visits they asked me to pray about being baptized and I did. I got baptized Janurary 5, 2008. When I was dunked into the water during my baptism, I got this wonderful feeling (the same feeling I got when I prayed about being baptized). It was a very peaceful, warm, and calm feeling. There have been numerous times after that where my life...
