When I was about 10 years old my dad took me to a mormom church. I attended about 2 or 3 months. When I was about 21 years old I met a man (named) Rick Scrivner. He was an LDS man and a house painter like me. I took some lessons but left it. I was into drinking and smoking pot. Maybe that’s why I could not feel the Spirit ? I made Satan very happy. When I was about 31 I was at a local bar and got shot in the face. I died 6 times the doctor said. I ended up in hell, I thought. It was dark with little light. (But then) I saw a bright light come my way. It was Jesus, the Jesus that I have seen all my life in pictures, with a bright white robe with his chest open (exposed) and his feet off the floor about 2ft. I thought that I saw wounds on his feet. He came to me and said, “Son, you are here because of your choices. You can go back to where you came from, but you must do something for me.” I said OK. I almost stayed. I had a peace over me. He said, “You must tell all that you talk to that my Father in Heaven hears your prayers and answers them.” I said, “OK, I will do as you ask.” The next thing (I remembered) is that I was in my hospital room with tubes sticking out me. The football game was on; the 49ers vs greenbay in a playoff game in 1999. The next thing (I remember) was I was no longer in my room. I was in a what seemed to me a barn with 10ft. on both sides of me and 15ft. high. I saw a light so bright that I said I should not be able to see but my sight was enhanced. I could see the open grain wood, that if you ran your hand across it you would get splinters, along with smoke or clouds. Again, it was Jesus with his bright robe open on the chest (and He was) about 2 ft. off the ground. He came right to me and looked at me and left . I now know that the Spirit of God has been trying to get me to His true church since I was 10 years old. I am glad I am part of His royal family and that Joseph Smith did what he did for all of us who want what he offered; to all who want it and use it so they can dwell with our Heavenly Father in Celestial Kingdom . I know this is the restored church of Jesus and that Joesph Smith is a real prophet and lives today as Jesus does for all in the universe. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ Amen .
